We don't have bulk points in us without Turbo, and to a lesser extent Walker, so we can't give cheap points away ,,,,,ever.

Jake T cost us 6 right on halftime with a BJ Leluia type dumb play.

Excellent question. I was hoping to hell that we'd go to Cust to give him a shot at doing something. He seemed more likely.

Very pedestrian display all round lacking purposefulness and direct intent. Forwards racking up numbers but lacking punch.

You see the limits of Jake when the team is missing attacking options and flair, looks more like a trundling clubman tackling his heart out.

I've never been happy with the way AFB and Marty hit the defensive line in our go forward sets, it really should be more potent than it is.(good numbers but lacking quality impact)

There just isn't any effective strong at speed go forward to break the shackles or penetrate through the line.

This is where the likes of Matai and Watmough really add that punch when you need it, or strong explosive backs/wingers being able to inject themselves like in the Melb Roosters game to generate quick play the balls.

Bad early pass by Cust ,but looked like the only one out there showing some fighting spirit.I would start him before Levi or Croker.

Yeah, one mistake early on, but it's only the second game he's played all year. He did everything he could. As did Levi. Maybe we can lay off him for a week.

I thought we went alright considering the lack of known combinations out there. Close to two extra tries from those kicks and Knights where lucky to score their two tries.
Defense was good.
Funa played his best game and Cust should be five eight.

Video ref/bunker call was a disgrace. The only reason the ref sent it upstairs was because he knew there was interference. It was never going to be a penalty try but it was a definite penalty. Difficult kick to level things up but we at least deserved a shot at it. I think the ref was as surprised as anyone.

Manly had opportunities in the second half but lacked the polish and element of luck to finish.
I don't believe there should have been a penalty try at all but should have been a penalty as you can't push a player in the back.
Also, AFB needs to concentrate on footy, not on being aggro at refs, even if they are d**kheads.
