Now that will be interesting , we win, he has a blinder , will he get ANY votes 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
As a lifetime supporter Mark, I still feel I got a slap in the face with the way he announced it on tv. Even if it was only meant for some in the Club. However, if he stays committed to playing for the team the rest of the year and he plays well, he still deserves to be acknowledged for that.
Having said though, subconsciously ........... 🤣

45 km/h southerly and showers. Watch us crumble like a deck of cards.
It sticks out like dogs balls , this is set up for a massive upset , the journos are salivating at the thought.

Can you imagine the stories tonight and tomorrow from the various media outlets.

Manly’s season gone
Player rift causes loss
DCE and the rest of the team big fallout
DCE to be stripped of Captaincy
Mestrov claims no ill will between club & captain
Is this “ Rainbowgate all over again “
Should Jake take over as Captain
The Fortress has fallen

These are but a few , you just know they’ll pinch them out every 15 minutes for about 48 hours.

Honestly those pricks are just sitting back with their fingers crossed for an Eels win

Ditto , I think many feel that way.

No booing
No stupid banners
No dumb comments

BUT it doesn’t mean I have to start liking him again

It's funny in a way, traditional league club culture is 'keep everything in house', and modern corporate requirements 'maintain a united front'.
Yet when the veil occasionally slips, its "What?!! How on earth weren't we told about any of this?!!"

It's also funny that we still get shocked when footy club machinations become public. David Williamson pretty much nailed it with The Club all those years ago. So we shouldn't really be surprised when the veil does slip 🤣.
It just hurts more when it's OUR club 💩

Can you imagine the nuclear meltdown in this place tonight @Mark from Brisbane if we lose to Parra.
It'll surpass the 2011 Hasler betrayal, the DCE backflip , rainbow gate and every other self inflicted fu*kup this club has managed for the last 20 yrs.

I'm hoping the rain will be over with by the time the game starts. Based upon our previous two wins at home it's hard for me to see anything other than a big win if the rain stops. I still believe we can get this job done in the wet though in a closer affair by around a 10-13 point margin.

Otherwise I think we will belt them

Manly 38 Parra 10

Know that showers are forecast but as long as it is not a particularly wet track , should not affect Manly or their preferred style of play that much .
More the prediction of the strong winds , certainly going to make the attacking kick high balls challenging for both sides .
Still some good individual players in the Eels line up , maybe they are gradually improving and had the impression that they may have competed not too bad against the Dogs recently but on most metrics , manly should really have their measure .
D C E story week antics should not be here or there when the serious part starts this afternoon and sure that the home crowd will in the main accept this as well

Have a feeling that the Ch nein new pin up poster boy won't be allowed to look like a complete goose this afternoon on their national broadcast. I'm guessing they'll be making sure he looks like the new messiah.

WOW ... what a pleasure to come on to the home of Manly supporters ... just to read the miserable, defeatist, woe is me ... crap.

It would be more encouraging to go on the One eyed eel forum.

Some of you sad sacks need to gird your loins ...

RIP in Manly ...

What is a worry is the ref playing along to the narrative of what a loss could mean. I think we have Horboroughs little brother as the ref too hey. Didn’t he skin us at Leichardt last year?
