Sea Eagle Toafofoa Sipley has been referred to the NRL Judiciary on a Dangerous Contact charge following his side's loss to the Dragons.

The Manly forward was sent to the sin bin for the tackle on Mat Feagai in the 53rd minute at 4 Pines Park, with the Dragons winger helped from the field by two trainers.

Does anyone know if he has 'Dangerous Contact' history?

They don't assign grades or charged for incidents that are referred directly to the judiciary... So, if he's found guilty (I'll be amazed if he isn't), then I'm pretty sure they can pick and choose any punishment they deem appropriate... regardless of whether or not it relates to the grading table.

With both players virtually in a falling motion, can't see Sipley being charged for this.

You do know he has been sent straight to the judiciary?4 weeks minimum imo if that tackle was produced on one of our players and they ended up with the same injuries we would be screaming.

Knee on knee contact with Jacob Liddle. Initially, Liddle stayed down and Bullemor got up. Then, Liddle ran his out, to the point where he was able to set up a try later in the game…typical Manly luck that after a couple of attempts at running the ball, Bullemor succumbed to the injury.

Bone on bone contact can be a toss of the coin…bone bruising only or ligament damage that destabilises the joint.
Knowing our luck at the moment it will be the later

No question committed effort defensively but probably one of the worst attacking displays that i have seen from a Manly side in a ist half .
That probably proved the difference despite some improvement in the 2 nd half .
Not too sure the reason , maybe confidence level down a bit , poor positioning , hard to reconcile one of the real strengths earlier on with completion rates and relatively good co ordinated attack dropping off so much .
Not too many positives , utilizing Lehi better at times one of them and was some ticker in defence but can "t win those type of games unless the attacking plays and structure can be at a required level .
Can only assume the inclusion of Faulalo was to cover for a couple of backs carrying injuries .
Losing Jake and Bully had to have a detrimental effect and not sure again why Bully comes on so late in a i st half .
Mixed game from D C E but that covering effort to thwart a very likely Dragons try , 2 point field goal attempt and a couple of important tackles and that kick for Saab would not seem to indicate that he has clocked off
Doubt if Haumole will have an off game like last night any time soon , T K O was solid .
Just too disjointed in attack recently and just have to find a way to win these VERY winnable games .
Side probably needs some time off to freshen up a bit and try to reset, defence does not seem to be the main deficiency , just to start to click and get the timing right in attack again
no offloads and second phase play. Dragons players often get the ball away when tackled. manly was never good at that in all the years.

He might get life without parole

If we didn't play so diabolical, particularly the first last night and the first 30 last week, we wouldn't have had to really on luck nor time.
Let's face it the opposition was cr@p but we were worse, no sugar coating that.

As for DCE I somewhat agree but I also think there's more to it than him just clocking off or the team responding, I think he is carry an I jury from the back spasms and its effecting his game physically and mentally.
would explain Brooks taking over the kicking

Just watched the lowlights (highlights?) and saw the Sipley hip-drop that's been referred to the judiciary.

He was clearly knocked out before even beginning the motion. Manly's legal representative better argue the fact he was out cold and not even dispute the mechanics of it to prevent any questioning along those lines, they're going to have to contradict the doctors HIA ruling since he passed it though.

'Manly loading' aside I think Tof's going to feel the wrath of the NRL's tendency to punish the outcome and not the incident, for a change it'd be nice if Penn fronted up the ca$h for a decent lawyer this time.
