No premiership till Penn Dce Tom and Jake go it’s simply not going to happen..and it doesn’t stop at those 4..the whole club needs rebuilding from top to bottom

Oops…definitely till penn , spoon are gone and Tom and Jake are put on a new deal that will allow us to buy some good young forwards . We also need an owner like uncle nick…hands on , passionate, self made billionaire . Make no mistake nick is the real reason the roosters are successful and they will taste success again next year with a spine of teddy, dce, Robson and walker.

No question committed effort defensively but probably one of the worst attacking displays that i have seen from a Manly side in a ist half .
That probably proved the difference despite some improvement in the 2 nd half .
Not too sure the reason , maybe confidence level down a bit , poor positioning , hard to reconcile one of the real strengths earlier on with completion rates and relatively good co ordinated attack dropping off so much .
Not too many positives , utilizing Lehi better at times one of them and was some ticker in defence but can "t win those type of games unless the attacking plays and structure can be at a required level .
Can only assume the inclusion of Faulalo was to cover for a couple of backs carrying injuries .
Losing Jake and Bully had to have a detrimental effect and not sure again why Bully comes on so late in a i st half .
Mixed game from D C E but that covering effort to thwart a very likely Dragons try , 2 point field goal attempt and a couple of important tackles and that kick for Saab would not seem to indicate that he has clocked off
Doubt if Haumole will have an off game like last night any time soon , T K O was solid .
Just too disjointed in attack recently and just have to find a way to win these VERY winnable games .
Side probably needs some time off to freshen up a bit and try to reset, defence does not seem to be the main deficiency , just to start to click and get the timing right in attack again

The big question is are the Trbojevics willing to take huge cuts which I don’t think they will..Jake is worth no more than 500k and Tom well what’s a player who is injured every year and derails the team worth…in my opinion not much so he might as well go and brother Ben needs to be dropped from top 30…as for Dce I am glad he is going the inconsistent overpaid giraffe he is….everybody needs to move on from the Dce Tom Jake delusion….it failed plain and simple

My humble observations...

  • DCE definitely carrying an injury, since the back issue, Brooks has done majority of tactical kicking and kicks for touch. He has lacked the impact which I think is being misread as lack of interest.
  • We have a pack of forwards , who do have go, try hard but other then a few, are not top grade standard.
Would Jazz, Ben, Corey,Nathan,Sipley Simpkin be playing !st grade for any other clubs, maybe off the bench at best. Try hard but slow and low skill levels
*Despite the slowing down and zero penetration Jake provides , I think he is an important cog in the team, especially in defence. Needs to have forwards around him that provide impact.
* SE lack leg speed in the forwards in both attack and defence.Opposing forwards march down the field too easily . Bullemore is the only exception, imagine 2 or 3 of his type!
*We are back making the mistakes , that have plagued us over the years , giving opposition multiple shots in our 20.Not seeing out our sets and finishing with a tactical kick.
  • In attacking formation, the backs all are flat and not moving until they have the ball in their hands. Compared to the top and better coached teams that are all moving with pace, bodies in motion, everyone providing something to that play.
  • DCEs defence is found out when we play teams that are prepared to attack his side with pace. Garrick usually cops the blame as he is caught trying to cover DCEs lack of pace , or running up out of the line.
*Our attack early in the season was best in the comp, now we are a shambles, panic, no set plays, almost embarrassing.
  • Siebold I had faith in, but am slowly getting to the point where I see no change from the rubbish we provided against the Storm, No ideas? Not up to it, will be determined over the next month.
  • Lastly wtf is our defensive coach, we have been vulnerable every time a team gets into our 20, usually resulting in tries. Sts last night were terrible but their defence was mostly organised and effective. Effort is lacking and a defensive pattern seems non existent
My opinions are my opinions ....fire away
PS...if Tommy Tissue returns just in time to leave us for 3 weeks for Origin then I will be then 100% off him...Respect for SE and ur team mates and the Fans.....fck Origin..

Interesting reading Indeed and I appreciate your great effort post .
I agree with most of your views. I personally do not have faith in Seibold leaking ship
I have feeling it will totally sink before his contract expires
Just one question . What is the meaning behind your Graham Hughes hair cut ?

Jim Dymock is in charge of 'Team Defence' and in my opinion, he is failing in his duties and either needs help or he should be replaced.

He's definitely not a "Dog of War"

Sea Eagle Toafofoa Sipley has been referred to the NRL Judiciary on a Dangerous Contact charge following his side's loss to the Dragons.

Straight to the judiciary??? WTF.
Every other hipdrop tackle gets 1 or 2 weeks. With a Manly player - straight to the judiciary & probably 4 - 6 weeks.
Thanks again NRL.

Does anyone know if he has 'Dangerous Contact' history?

This is what I found

2023 Season (Round 9), Sipley was charged with a Grade 2 crusher tackle on Gold Coast Titans player Phillip Sami during a match. As it was his second such offense, he accepted an early guilty plea and received a three-match suspension, avoiding a potential four-match ban if he had contested and lost at the judiciary.

2024 Pre-Season (Week 1), Sipley faced a Grade 2 crusher tackle charge for an incident involving Roosters winger Dom Young during a trial match. Young was hospitalized for precautionary scans due to a neck injury. Sipley’s prior record contributed to the severity of the charge, and he accepted an early guilty plea, resulting in a three-match suspension. Contesting the charge could have led to a four-match ban.

2022 Season (Round 10), Sipley was charged with dangerous contact, resulting in a $1,000 fine. No suspension was issued for this incident

I don’t understand the hip drop. Sipley went in and tackled him across the chest, bounced off, and found himself around the waist. All this happened in a split second.

How was he supposed to avoid this? How can you possible realise you’ll end up in a hip drop situation when going for a ball and all tackle?

With both players virtually in a falling motion, can't see Sipley being charged for this.
