I'm getting tired of Turbo being a protected species. I was hoping he would go to Des and demand to play. Obviously not so. DCE did twice the amount of work that Turbo did in the last State of Origin. Tackled his heart out.
Turbo's hamstring is either healed or not. Presumably it is.
So Turbo stop playing the prima donna.
Give something back to Manly for the amazing bucks you are earning.

Agree. Man up Turbo. If you're too fragile, give the game away. Sick of seeing him prioritise SOO over manly.

Turbo being rested says Des , Hopefully Turbo tells Des he is good to go , Like when Des wanted to replace Turbo on the Canterbury game and Turbo over ruled Des and said I'm staying on .C'mon Turbo tell Des your playing
If not simple change Harper to fullback Walker to centre , Harper will attempt to catch the ball
Harper to fb and walker to center.. i like this

Let him rest you won't be saying that if he gets injured and we miss the finals

The main feature of Harper's centre play has been rushing up and shutting down the opposition, including all potent threats from Fifita to Kikau.
At fullback he might be called on to make only a couple of tackles.
If you think he'd be great at fullback because he can marshal our defenders and organise our attack, as I recall we got flogged in that trial which was his only stint at fullback.

who t.f wrote that article....?

Manly coach Des Hasler will rest Tom Trbojevic will be rested from his side's round 18 clash with the Dragons, although captain Daly Cherry-Evans is set to back up from Origin duty.

Cherry-Evans had a wow of a game against the Cowboys in round 14 as he bounced back from his Origin disappointed while Hasler elected to rest Trbojevic rather than forcing him to back up two days after Origin I and said the plan would be the same this week.

LOL, I don't think much proof reading goes on nowadays before an article is published. They seem to think that everything in the article is fine and dandy if there are no red squiggly lines under any words of the article (i.e. spelling mistakes) before they publish the article.

It reads like it was cut and pasted from another article but they realised they had to change a few words to avoid 'plagiarizing' claims. they threw some extra words in then didn't check.

Anyway, Go Manly!

Tom 166 metres and 12 tackles. Should be right to play but noooooo. lol..wah

It is 100% not Tom's call to make, regardless of how much he wants to play.

Harper has been a standout at centre , I didn't think he went too bad at fullback in that trial against the tigers where Manly didn't play many of the top squad
I think the question always comes up about fullback replacement for turbo all the players that Des had used all struggled , looking from the outside is always easy trust in Des cause he sees how they train and goes with it just doesn't always workout on GameDay , just hope Garrick has worked a bit with b Stewart this week on fullback play cause last week wasn't to flash

From what I remember in that trial that we got flogged Harper was the player that stood out at fullback .

I don't know if Saab's ever played full back but he's very good under a bomb and has the sort of (Brett like) blinding speed that can create an overlap from nothing. I know next to nothing about his positional play in defence but I imagine he'd have the speed to get across in cover.

Could be worth developing Jason as cover for Turbo the way Robbo used to fill in for Brett.
