Yeah I get that but more an “ ambush “ as it’s our first home game and we are favourites is my thinking.

True....both teams with a lot to prove, they got pipped at the end by the Broncs. And us, need to build on our 2nd half comeback against the chooks. And just heard it's raining at Brookie now...damn !!

If we come out thinking that we can just put on the razzle dazzle without first winning it up the middle then we will probably get smashed. It will be wet. We need to win ugly. Fair enough if we grind them down and get up by at least 12 points with 20 to go then we have earned the right to chance our hand.

I expect us to win comfortably but we need to start winning these wet games. We have probably only won like 2 or 3 games in the wet over the past decade (if that)

Really, Manly should be making this duftys last nrl game by killing his career and confidence. he is small, elusive and prone to error. Manly should be kicking to him all day and bashing him relentlessly. dont even think of scoring until the second half . it will come

being able to dominate him on early tackles, create reverse momentum like what happens to saab and garrick at times, making there wingers less dangerous

but honestly with DCE kicking game we should have perfected this for years but manly still look very indecisive on wether the kick game has value at all

Surely the spiral bomb is underutilised. for a team that lobs up so many hail marys , we could put some funk on the ball a bit more, surely

Players who need to stand up -

Taupau - Needs more energetic hit ups, and that one on one strip that went against him up the Panthers end when we had great field position was terrible.

Keppie - Has been pretty average particularly in defence

Paseka - Our most disappointing forward so far this year. Is he even capable of charging onto that ball? He gets monstered too often after running 4 or 5 meters for a player of his size.

Harper - By far our weakest link in the backs this year. 12 months ago he was elusive in attack and very effective in defence. He has gone from a 7/10 player to a 5/10.

Croker - More selectful running please. And a couple of good kicks out of dummy half over to Saabs side of the field

Jake - Defensively has been great but too many 6 agains. Would love to see him play out the 80 without his usual 2 or 3 six agains!
