But from what I've seen .. we had better be prepared to take a few hits and bruises to get the win.

Why can't Haumole and the like look happy...back at Brookie on a new playing surface, in front of a home crowd with some in a new stand!

Anyway, so looking forward to being back "home" today and hopefully we get a win to rebuild the fortress once more. Bottom of the ladder is totally unacceptable and needs to be fixed pronto.

Very confident in a dominant Manly win today. It’s got a bit of the 2008 Round 3 vibe about it, when we put 50 on the Warriors. I obviously don’t think this current side is anywhere near the class of that 2008 side, but there’s enough talent in it to put in a good showing. They’re very desperate, Manly by 18.

Late Mail: Utility Dylan Walker needs to pass concussion protocols with Tolutau Koula on standby. Des Hasler has put the Sea Eagles pack on notice after their 0-2 start to the season. “I think Des has put a bit of a rocket under that forward pack from what I understand,” Brent Read said on NRL 360. “Their play-the-ball is the slowest in the NRL. They need to fix that up so Tommy gets a bit of a platform of the back of.

“If he is going to explode this is the game that he will explode in I think.”

Late Mail: The Bulldogs are set for a big shake-up in the halves, with Jake Averillo dropped and Brandon Wakeham the man to replace him at halfback according to The Australian’s Brent Read. It comes after Wakeham scored a try and set up two in a 48-12 win over the Raiders in the NSW Cup last week. Kyle Flanagan also set up two tries and just as many linebreaks in the victory but has been left out once again. Meanwhile, winger Jayden Okunbor has been dropped with Aaron Schoupp taking his spot.

I’m not so sure they’re “ very desperate “ just yet , after all it took 5 rounds last year.

This is an ambush waiting to happen , we are favourites , and at home and the Bulldogs have improved.

Remember we are stone motherless last at present and have come off two very ordinary performances.

I’m not convinced we’ve sunk low enough yet for the fire to ignite in their bellies.

Tough game approaching and if they monster us in the first 15 minutes it’ll be all over red rover.

Yeah I get that but more an “ ambush “ as it’s our first home game and we are favourites is my thinking.

It's going to be a wet one, so let's hope that track can handle it. Night time, wet track footy isn't our forte. Low scoring game with some DCE 3rd tackle kicks coming up.

Fight goes 12 rounds and Tim wins with a unanimous decision (even if one judge did do a fight card of 113-112 -boofhead.)

Here comes the rain. Typical home game weather. Crowd will be poor, game will be a mistake a thon cripple fight. The winner will be whoever tries to lose it less.
