You know, I didn't think our first half was that bad. Could have been way worse after that poor start.

Our forwards were holding their own against a good Broncos' pack, we were making good yards out of our own end, and we didn't look like total crap.

The main issue (outside of our inability to defend our mistakes) was not being able to score points when we needed them. We had some good periods of pressure on their line but came up with nothing. Zilch. Zero. Nada. For a team built around "weapons", we sure do a lot of mis-firing.

Talau has been our best player and has looked threatening with ball in hand.

Jake adds nothing but stifles the attack and is slow for today's game. Just look at Carrigan and compare that to our 13.

I mean he's great for giving away a bunch of six again if your a supporter of the other team

Very true. He doesn't add much in attack but probably the best defending 13 in the competition.

Jake is a monster in defence but so pedestrian in attack, taking a hit up close to the line does not attract defenders.

Burbo, Im just not sure he's going to make it as a starting 2nd rower, unless he stays at Manly.

Every time I watch the Broncos, i'm surprised at how good carrigans is. I must have a goldfish memory.

Same with yeo when I watch the panthers.

There's been some soft running with the ball and only Oka and Koula look dangerous
This 1 out stuff may help the stat sheet of completions but won't dent the scoreboard.

It’s a matter of opinion but I actually think the reason it’s not 30-0 is because we completed our yardage sets. We are not gonna blow the Broncos off the park and we are not going to get around them (at least not consistently anyway) especially not in our own half. Shifting the ball will lead to errors and we’ll end up getting flogged.

The reason the attack stinks in the Brisbane red zone is because the backline is completely new, with the exception of Garrick and we’ve got two NSW Cup hookers distributing around the ruck. Clunky.
