I watched a few of the Harold Matts games this year and Joey is a star player. Very much a leader who is quick and got a great pass and kicking game. Be suprised if he doesn't make first grade and have an impact.

Thing with Parramatta is they only won (their 4) premierships when Jack Gibson was the coach, or his accolyte John Monie. A six season period (1981-86) in a club history now 65-odd years old. An outsider came in, ran things his way - up stumps and left and they eventually fell back into varying degrees of mediocrity. Not good enough (for their supporters) really.

St Mergawarra Credit Union supporters want to hope the same thing doesn't happen to them.

Anyone remember Parramatta signing a school boy by the name of Barney Haslett. Huge success story that one turned out to be.
