I think he might turn out to be a goodun, but I won't do a " Blake Leary" on him yet as that's a death wish on Silvertails!!

I was right there with ya excited about Leary Marky Mark. I still don't think our club including both coaches have really used Leary correctly or tried to play our structures to his strengths.
We Just focus on that left edge back rower straightening a side ways attack. We've never moved passed a Trex clone there.
Whilst the right side has free reign.
Learys go was always going to be a probing Jamie Buhrer, Gifty left edge specialist.
It's interesting a team can be limited to doing a play from left to right but not expand to the other way around!

I'm glad a few people thought it was funny because I don't rate Roberts and Manly just signed a player that was being kept out of first grade by him

I still believe that Cartwright has had something to do with the demise of Leary and if Lawrence stayed fit Cartwright would have done a job on him also. Because they both left clubs he was coaching at when we signed them. If the same faith was put into Leary that was shown to Nathan Green I think Leary would have been a great player this year. Unfortunately for him he tried that stupid grubber earlier in the season and Barrett and Cartwright never picked him properly ever again, crushing his confidence.
1 year deal sounds like it's just a stepping stone to somewhere else OR holding off for bigger money when the cap goes up in 2018.

Id say manly looking at one of mead hoffman or McDonald as hayne will push one of those out.
