Of course they could have just backed Gunton Clitherson to play at 5/8. Not as experienced as Green (who I am pleased to see in the side anyway), however he showed enough at Parramatta last season to indicate he has the makings of a good playmaker.

Wrong. He did a few good things behind a dominant pack that are in every first grade fullback or centres arsenal. He didn't steer them around the park and paired with Norman this year they will struggle.

Would have him back at manly in a heartbeat though.
