From a Bulldogs fans perspective, I don't really like it.
Sorry to sound negative, but I actually put Brookvale up there with Leichardt as two of the best ovals to watch footy at.
This design makes it look a little like Centerbet Stadium in Penrith.
Brookvale's big positive is the awesome sweeping family hill (reminds me of Belmore Sports Ground a bit). It just a little too *closed in* for me.
However allowing the walking path around the ground is a great idea!

All they need to do is put a Newcastle style stand on the Western side & maybe another Arko style stand in the South East corner.
Phantar said:It's only a concept, but clearly the Jane Try will be extended to the north, which is happening soon, and will hopefully extend skyward. Note that the roof of that stand is at the same height as the Ken Arthurson Stand. The plan of management has long allowed for this to occur.

Somehow I don't think a stand on the western side of Brooky, the size of the ones at Newcastle, would go down well with the vocal minority in the Brookvale valley.

It makes sense to have higher capacity stands to the south, which don't overshadow anyone's front lawn, and to the east, where the people on that side seem more comfortable with an expanded Brookvale Oval than the precious Johnny-come-lately's in the valley.

The hill is still there, the plans take away the kids bit of the hill which is a blessing in disguise as one day a kid will get seriously hurt there like a penrith fan did this year

I know its a concept but if you look at it the hill is half gone, so no its not still there. Basically the way it looks is anyone that goes with a blanket gets their seat on the hill. Anyone that currently stands will either have to get covered seating or are relegated to the family hill.
The only reason I agree with the look of this is because with seating our supporters groups can control who the numpties are in our area and what they get up to. Without a defined area for the supporters group there is no way to stop randoms from hanging around and causing trouble like happens at times currently on the Hill.
The Who said:I would prefer that they develop the northern end of the ground with a massive stadium and leave the Hill on the eastern side as is.
They have done this at WIN Stadium.
