Manly Injuries - is there a Positive reaction ?

When we think about injuries how many of us give thanks to having DCE? This guy must be one of the most durable player in our club's history. I'd like to know just how many matches he's missed through injury over the past 11 seasons. I doubt it would be into double figures. He must play through pain and his mental strength must be immense.
So, whenever one of us has a shot at him we should all remember that he is a true warrior.
There’s a reason Sticky said it was the best move our club made getting him long term. It’s hard to gauge around here as we have plenty of anti dce folk. But I always ask my mates who are fans of other clubs and all rate DCE highly. He’s worth what we payed him imo.

I can only remember him missing games either 2020 or 2021 when he had ankle issues. Other than that I can’t remember another injury.

He did his pectoral muscle towards the end of one season running towards the sudeline/tryline and didn't save the try, but tore his pec. Out for the last few matches of that season.

Yes. Sorry, I thought any injury discussions were always about Turbo 🙂

DCE is a warrior on and off the field with very few injuries. Fittest player in the Manly club and has been for many years.
Since Matt Ballin who saved his injury bad luck for the Tigepies

Just doing a quick calculation, coming into this season he'd played 261 games (?).
Divide by 11 seasons = 23 games per season.
Phenomenal when you think about it.
Factor in 30 rep games over that time for QLD/Aus is effectively 26 games per season.
For a halfback that is targeted defensively and wants to be involved he just keeps on keeping on - maybe we could call him "Berger".

* if he suffers an injury tonight please defer your abuse to @The Who, he started it.

on Foxsport site ... How accurate I do not know, but sounds positive enough, especially re Schu

TURBO’S RETURN

Dally M Medal winner Tommy Turbo Trbojevic has resumed running at Manly training this week and is on target for a round nine return to the NRL.

It’s great news for the Sea Eagles and the NSW Blues with the champion fullback having recovered well from MCL surgery on his right knee.

The Sea Eagles have done an outstanding job to win the club’s last two matches without Tommy but face a major litmus test on Thursday when they meet the Sharks to open round seven of the NRL.

The other big out for the Sea Eagles against Cronulla is front row forward Josh Aloiai who has an AC joint injury.

Aloiai had been the Sea Eagles best front row forward since missing the opening three games through suspension but sustained the injury against the Gold Coast and will now be missing for at least the next fortnight.

The other huge in for the Sea Eagles over the course of the next fortnight will be the return of young gun backrower Josh Schuster.

Schuster sustained a syndesmosis injury during pre-season but is back flying at training and will add another dimension to Manly’s attack.
