One of the posts on here @Chip and Chase mentions “ clutch players” and boy didn’t we have some beauty’s in the decade of dominance.

It’s why I think this team is going to have to go through what that team did in 2006-2007 before going on to win the big one.

This year feels so very much like 2006, a “ breakout year” if you will.

It looks like we will be in the finals for sure but my expectations are pretty low.

I think 2020-21 will be our years in the sun.

Personally just happy we are in the show come finals time and depending on everything from injuries to momentum, strange but good things can happen.
"IF" the refs make it a quick ruck speed with defenders not allowed to sleep on the tackled player, AFB and Kapow will offer 2nd phase and quick plays and Tom, DCE and Fainu can carve up any defensive structures through that middle, which in turn provides the space out wide.

Today's win had a similar character to many of those others, with 'character' being the operative word.
We have won several on pure guts and determination, the team culture now seems to be that of fighters, scrappers, who keep plugging away and somehow don't wilt under adversity.
Probably more valuable in the long run than if we had won with a few fancy tries.
Lack of troops may be the only thing that stops our run, but so far this year whoever Des calls up just plugs the hole and plays their role, and I think the same will happen next week!
