Surely the club has learnt the lesson after how the bungled the resigning of des.
I think tooves deserves and additional 3 years after next year.

My message to our administration is clear don't stuff this up 🙂

Spot on CAMBO. Toovey is Manly to his bootlaces.

Have Manly ever won a premiership with an outsider in charge ?

Yes. Twice. In 2008 and 2011 we had an outsider from Penrith in charge.

Well played bones. And, if he wasn't an outsider before, he sure as hell is now.

Hope he's enjoying watching the finals. Get used to it Dogsler.

There are no doubts that there were problems with Des and his relationship with the Board and how much autonomy he wanted. I know some on here have expressed doubts about Tooves but I don't see any issues with him as our coach for the next 3 years. I can't think of anyone else who would be more suitable for leading the Sea Eagles. If the Board hasn't worked out from past experience how to phrase the contract then that is their failure. So long as it it doesn't screw up keeping Tooves then they will be forgiven. Stuff it up and I for one will not be impressed.
