Manly Attacking Formula ?

Walking off the mark is the largely unidentified blight on the game. I shake my head when refs tell players to go back a few steps!
Yeah, so there's leniency if you walk off the mark and/or crawl through the ruck but defenders that hang on a smidge too long to negate that get penalised.
Makes sense.

It creates such an unfair advantage and as an example (every set) Storm get away with it they effectively gain an extra 10m by the end of the set, but more importantly automatically has the markers out of play and the way Storm do it...they actually use the marker as a shepard, kind of getting between that marker and "A" defender closing in to tackle and shoving the marker who effectively can't do anything but become a grenade, which opens up a clear passage behind the ruck.
Also by playing it 2 metres off the mark, the 10m suddenly becomes 12m which is a Massive advantage also.
Thing I find funny at NRL level....when they are "pulled up" for this indiscretion that is very much on purpose, the refs allow them to come back and play the ball which is what they do in the under 8's.....why is trying to take advantage in such an obvious way not a penalty, as no difference to a double movement or holding a player back ect....it's an attempt to cheat the rules and gain an advantage ?
