Rd 10, 1997 Manly vs Gold Coast at Brookvale only got 2506. It was 26-all in the end. Cliffy set up 2 tries in the final 5 minutes & nearly a third that would have won it. It was a day game in terrible rain.

Couldn't see the stands but wouldn't be surprised if the crowd was actually half that, would guess the season ticket people got counted regardless

I was one of those brave enough to go the game tonight with my 66 year old mum. Never seen rain like that at brookvale before

I was there with my son and a friend who supports Newcastle. We normally sit on the Hill but wisely bought tickets in the Menzies-Fulton Stand. And, not only did we keep dry, we got to meet Beaver and have a few photos with my son and the Newcastle fan. He's a true gentleman.

Why thank you very much....!! Although I was thinking I was a little on the crazy side as the rain started to soak through my clothes to my skin, even though I had a poncho on and an umbrella...lol....!!
