LOL Tigers

I must be on my own in not seeing anything wrong with what he's expecting. They are all professional athletes and are still being paid handsomely. There's probably even leeway because they know some players will naturally gain weight if they're not constantly pushed. Also, they've finished bottom however many years on the trot. You would want to see some pride kicking in and the correct attitude from the players without having their arses wiped for them
If the players buy in it's fine, but if you are using breach notices to motivate the group you've already lost.

Well said! Fully agree.

The New Beji era had Begun But nothing has changed at the Turbulent Tigers

Scott Fulton could not work with him

Half his team do not get along with him

Bateman has just about had enough of him

Up and coming stars like Tupou (The Dolphins), Stefano Utoikamanu (Melbourne Storm) have left him

Jarme Luai wants to be there and there are $1.2 millions reasons why

But Money is not the solution at the Tigers as they dont have Mental capacity to make the most of it .

What does Mental capacity mean ?
Mental capacity is the ability to make an informed decision by understanding the situation, options, and consequences. It also includes the ability to use and remember information, and communicate the decision

Maguire tried the hard approach at the Tigers and it didn't work. I don't think Benji is going to achieve a different result with the same approach. Doing your dirty laundry in public and shaming your players is dumb. I expect that Jarme Luai will find the change from Cleary's coaching style to Marshall's coaching style challenging. If Benji loses Luai in the change room I know who will be gone.

This is fairly basic stuff that all clubs have in place, not sure why people are getting on Benji's back for this

Agree, I think the Tigers would have an ultra hardarse stance on this given the back to back wooden spoons, pretty sure he has them already out on the field training

Telecr@p and their hatred for Tigers. Its' an obvious bias, almost as bad us them and us. Tigers certainly do have some leaks in their ranks. I wonder if Peter Peters has gone there. 🙂🙂🙂...

Latu named as one of the 5 Tigers given a warning about not meeting standards on return to training.

Not surprising really, as he was on the nose with Manly coaching staff.
He must follow Manase’s injury rehab process - climbing 6ft walls with one arm in a sling while still recovering from shoulder surgery etc.

Tigers should be a force next year , maybe not too 8 but they could go close.

They’ve certainly attracted some players. I guess gazillions in unused cap can do that.

It does actually spin me out - for the past 10 years we've averaged around 10th - 11th, but have always been cap strapped? There's always been periods where bottom tier clubs have a large amount of cap space to spend to turn things around (see Bulldogs).

Our recruitment has been diabolical. We're bringing in players 33, 33 & 30 next season. Do we NEED more experienced pre-retirement players? We've already got many, many veterans (which is a good thing btw).Or was it the time to add young, bustling, fit, mobile, explosive bucks ready to unleash? Players like May, JFH (older, but fits the mould), AFB (see JFH) and many others that have moved around this off season - I won't list them all to prove a point many were available.

One of the guys brought in at 33 has played 10 games in 2 years guys !! Horrible !! Or is that just me? Am I clearly missing something, and am wrong? I got one forum poster literally ignoring me for criticizing our recruitment like this.

I hope I'm wrong, but I see quite a few teams around us improving, and think we might come circa 14th, particularly if we get a few injuries in the forwards.

The NRL are speeding the game up, while we keep slowing our team down (see Lawton to Tevaga).
