I can't believe Lomax would consider going to Doesn'tmatta for $150,000-plus less than he's reportedly on at Illawarra. That is unless he's being guaranteed supplementary funds from some slimy Eels uncapped source.
If Lomax is driven by the motivation of on-field success going to Doesman'tmatta makes no sense. The Eels are not going to win a premiership in the near future. Now, if Melbourne or Easts showed interest in him then I could understand why he'd sacrifice salary for the prospect of a premiership.
Personally, I can imagine Easts being interested in Lomax as they are losing two centres to rugby in 2025. Whenever Easts enter the player market they 'somehow' seem to get the signature. Funny that.
