[Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

I'm not saying I disagree, only that it's too early to make that call. Api has another 3-4 weeks to lay claim and if he is consistently as good as he was last week then I say happy days, Killer can retire with an off field role at the club and Walker can go to number 3.

So you're happy with a half who can't kick, won't pass and by midway through the second half was so consistently ignoring his outside support (Killer and Tommy) that he became easy for the defence to read because when he got the ball he would 9/10 be looking to dart back inside instead, looking for a free passage to under the posts.

As much as Api did an ok job under the circumstances and got Nein's MoM award mostly for being flashy.....he has a long way to go before he can be considered a good half.

Just so I know, are you describing Walker or Api?

Nah Walker got too predictable as well. He ran so much to his left and wouldn't pass to Taupau, Skivy or Jorge that they went looking for their own work. If Walker or Api were Centrelink last week, our centres, wingers and one second rower would have been on a pension.

And his running to the left all the time also becomes predictable. If Souffs defence which wasn't good can read that, against a better defence like Brisbane or NQ he wouldn't have even scored a running try.

All I'm saying is that both Api and Walker need to mix it up a bit. Our forwards gave them a platform to work from but they didn't use it. That comes from experience and neither are all that experienced in the halves. Which is why I still believe that DCE would have torn Souffs to pieces last Thursday if he had played behind a pack that dominant.

The NRL is spinning wheels on this Eel rorting.
I say give it to the Bunker for a quick decision!
What goes up, must come down TW? Spinning wheels gotta go round.

There will be some blood, sweat and tears shed before this is resolved.

Has anyone ridden a painted pony lately?

A pretty nothing article from The Age today which I have posted below. Forme again professing his great love for BA, bloody sickening actually. He says he is used to off field dramas from being at Manly, but at the worms BA is just so good at protecting him I mean the team.......from salary cap talk/media etc. He knows nothing about nothing.........apparently.

What a muppet, he helped cause off field dramas at Manly and is now profiting off a club that is clearly cheating the cap. He would not be at the worms if it was not for the money. His ruse love affair with BA is getting old now. And I swear if he crawls any further up BA's arse they will need a search party to find him and pull him out.

So glad he is gone.

Parramatta Eels' novel approach to NRL penalty: 'We've got to get points for them to take'

Date: April 06 2016

Chris Barrett

The Eels are bracing for a loss of competition points for a range of salary cap breaches and their players, while shutting out the scandal to the best of their ability, claim the pending news of the penalty only heightens the importance of claiming early-season wins.

There was a snakes and ladders theme at Parramatta's training base on Wednesday. Snakes, because Kieran Foran and Danny Wicks took turns having one draped around their necks as a promotion for the club's partnership with the Northern Territory. Ladders, because they are facing a slippery slide to the foot of it if the NRL integrity unit slaps them with a points deduction as has been touted.

That scenario would heavily affect the finals chances of Brad Arthur's team, which sits in eighth spot after five rounds leading into Saturday's match against the in-form Canberra Raiders at Pirtek Stadium.

Wicks, whose life has had more twists and turns than any board game, is taking a novel approach to the cloud hovering over the Eels because of alleged impropriety in the way third-party deals have been arranged for players at Parramatta.

"There is no use crossing that bridge until you get to it," the front-rower said. "You can speculate and talk about what's going to happen but until it happens you don't know.

"If it's going to happen, it's going to happen. The best thing for us to do is get some points on the board early if they're going to get them knocked off. It doesn't matter whether they're take four, eight or 20. You've got to get points on the board for them to take them off and that's what we're worried about."

Foran, who has come from another club that like Parramatta is no stranger to internal wrangling among administrators, gives credit to coach Arthur for creating a salary cap-free bubble. The issue will inevitably hit home if and when they are docked points but until then he doesn't want his players talking or even thinking about it more than they need to.

"I know what it's like being at a club where there is off-field dramas," Foran said.

"To sum things up, I guess at Manly you were exposed to it a lot more. You probably did hear a lot more about what was going on and it probably was more in your face. But here, I don't know, Brad just does a good job of keeping it completely separate. We have no papers around the place. Until something official gets done it won't impact us at all. You've just got to try and get on and win as many games as you can.

"We hear nothing about it and that's the truth. We don't just get told to come over and say that. Brad does a really good job of keeping what we do here just football and we know nothing about what's been said on the outside. The salary cap stuff ... we hear nothing about it, about deduction of points, nothing. We just come here to prepare for the game.

"I guess until actually something officially gets done and we get told by the coaching staff or the club that 'you're getting deducted points' maybe then it might have an impact. But it's not impacting us one bit."

Pea Hearts love affair with the Dalai continues.

On Seven News just now they said they will get 2 points if they cooperate with the NRL.

I assume the instances of Parra already not cooperating have been forgiven.

It is a compete farce if this happens. If it does, the Roosters and Broncos should just ignore the cap and cop the 2 points on the chin next year.

The NRL may as well also give the Storm their premierships back.

Speaking of the Storm, isn't the NRL mob the ones that believed Bellyache had no idea how much his players were being paid? Took no part in negotiations,, didn't approve retentions, approved $amt, didn't know to the cent how much was left in the salary cap?

Same as the Dalai knows nothing now.

He didn't have anything to do with Foran's contract....

If the NRL give them a slap on the wrist with a canary feather, don't be surprised if the Squall come after the NRL to have those premierships reinstated.

The only discernible difference (that I can see) between what the Storm did and Faecalmatta's actions, is that Melbourne actually had results as a consequence of their cheating. Faecalmatta have nothing to show for it.

You would also think that a club that lost a GF to a team that were deliberately cheating the cap in 2009, would have more sense than to try it on themselves.

How ethically bankrupt are they, not to mention monumentally stupid?
