[Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

I know it’s petty but,

Thank God(or your preferred deity) for the slime, I always enjoy their troubles and now their management/ board of numpties have sacked the coach, probably believing that Bennet will knock back the vermin to coach them, and installed the Ken doll for the rest of the year.

The slime just make me smile. Love it.🙂

Cant see it was an argument...just a statement of where we are at and its no joke.
Yes but just as true a statement is Broncos lose next week and we win and we are one point behind.

May as well aay we are only 3 points ahead

Yep. I would take Arthur as our defensive coach. We sure as f**k need one, and as Terry says, the last time he was our defensive coach (under Tooves), we made the grand final - and would have won it if not for Shayne Wayne Hayne's MVP efforts on behalf of the Roosters that day.

Arthur landed the Eels job (as well as Foran and Watmough) on the strength of his time at Manly. Players apparently love him, and I actually think he's a decent coach. Having him back on our coaching staff would not be a crazy idea.
and his son is already here and contracted for next year.

as seibs second year approaches you wonder if feels secure enough in himself

if form got worse you could imagine arthur being caretaker coach by this time next year at manly

especialy as murmers of should we have kept flanno

be strong power move from seibs if he did

Mate, the cameras cutting to the coaches' box the last couple of games, and the press conferences afterwards, have worried me. Seibold has that same haunted look in his eyes that all of our coaches seem to get. You know - the one that says, "Are these really the players I'm relying on to save my career?"

He just needed to experience the Turbo injury breakdown in person to believe it…

Conversely, they might be thinking “Is this the coach that’s going to return us to our glory days, or something like it?” And “What were Penn and new boy Mestrov thinking when they ditched Des?”

Do you think Gutherson would consider coming home, now that his favourite coach has bitten the dust. Despite the criticism we give him, he's competitive and knows how to attack and set up tries. Prodigal son?

As much as it still grates on me how we lost him and what he has done with Parra I think the years of him playing above his weight with effort etc has started to show on his body. Considering the cost involved it would be almost as much of a gamble as another long term deal for turbo

I still have a soft spot for Gutho as well, but we definitely don't need more players who are pushing past 30 years-old.

Yep, I think the money would be better spent on a forward. I'm thinking Angus C will be staying at the Roosters but Papalii might be worth at least putting in a bid. Rather than looking at him as another player from a struggling club (like some are) I think his Parra form should be the indicator. As someone mentioned earlier, he's only 25 and is the type of backrower to compliment Guac. Ben is still a WIP and Jake just doesn't have it for an attacking backrower anymore.

Gutho is in some serious trouble with those knees of his. It'd be just our luck to bring Gutho home on a 3 year deal worth 800k, only to get limited games out him...the forum would be up in arms about the cap space he is taking up and we'd be praying for his retirement.
