No surprise it was mdma. The facts are a large portion of people at that age love that stuff. I would have no issue if we didn't ban players for testing positive to it, coke etc. I like the afl policy.

But jeez it is dumb to get caught with it. Since that happened something has to happen due to the attention it has created.

Some countries have pill testing at dance festivals so the kids can find out exactly what they're taking. If the pill is good they safely take it and have a good time dancing all night. If it's bad they don't take it. I support this idea to keep them safe. Most of them won't be wanting to dance all night once they're older with more responsibilities, kids, mortgages.
But yes an Nrl player with a pocket full of them is not a good career move. I think Corey needs better friends and a better footy jersey.

Pill testing should be widely available. It would put the dangerous drug dealers/ manufacturer out of business in a flash ( of neon light) as nobody would want their crap drugs, resulting in less harm being caused.
If the drugs were then not harmful ( read some peer reviewed papers on Mdma) society would not need to make them illegal.

The issue is the same though, the Police have a positive drug test for drugs in his possession. July 30th Norman can mount an argument in Court that the container was handed to him by a friend.

Possession at law has a certain meaning. For example, you have to know its a drug. Sounds like there are some grey areas in this instance so it wouldn't be a major surprise if he pleads not guilty.
