Thought his approx 20 minutes were very good considering his complete lack of match fitness.

Would he get a game in front of Paseka / AoA …of course not.

But we are not exactly flushed with Prop forwards so he plays, and did a job.

He took plenty of hit ups ( haven’t looked at the stats but I’d say 6 -8) and was very involved in defence.

I get the hate from many ( his past transgressions ) but I just look at his football stats rather than judge issues I have little knowledge about.

We will need a couple more middles for 2026.

Can’t see him being re-signed , looks like AoA will be a medical retirement , and Jazz off to Super League

So the club is going to have to buy at least one established one , and punt on a couple of youngsters

I hope we don't fall for this and give him an extension this is typical of his career when he is out of contract he plays a few good games get's a contract than back to being a bludger of an nrl player.

I don't think we should be looking to extend him either, but we do need a warm body - even if it's a big, fat, warm body - to fill that role for the rest of this season. With Paseka, Aloiai and now Brown all gone, he's the next man up.

I thought his first stint last night (which turned out to be his only stint) was pretty effective. Took a lot of hit-ups, and that big, fat body of his definitely took a toll on the opposition. Would I have liked him to have played another 15-minute stint? Sure, if it was going to be equally as effective. But maybe one stint is the sweet spot for him right now, and he did make the most of it.

I heard the commentators say TKO had made 7 hit ups while Lodge had made 10 (while both were still on the field).

He was working way harder than I expected but maybe that was the coaches plan ( even though apparently he’s a **** coach )

Lack of any kind of fitness. A prop who can only play 15 minutes is not much use to anyone.
