Lewis Dodd

The rumour was floating around on Twitter early today,by a few sources,The Mole included, but since then, many on the same platform, from over in England, have said St Helens are confident he’ll re-sign for a further two years, which will take him to the end of 2026.Obviously contracts are easily broken these days

If he's any good you'd have to wonder why he would want to come to us to spend half the year playing for Blacktown, Croker's spot is the only one he'd have a chance at winning.

Just throwing it out there
Might be a option to move Croker to lock
Dodd to 9
GCKT to 14

No doubt he could play 13.

Any team would be crazy not to be open to having that flexibility of having that extra ball player at 13.

Plenty of teams had two hookers on the field at once in 23. That extra ball player especially in combination with fresh legs around the ruck for 20 mins.

Against some teams especially a team already fatigued up the middle, going small, nimble, and quick works and works well.

Froggy far from our only short term 13 option thou.

Doubt that style of lock for 80 mins week in week out is what Man needs. Not if the high heel is in the back row.

Really could not see any upside in considering Froggy as a 13 , and have mentioned this previously .
Not just playing style but also that he has had no background with this role and particularly at a higher level .
Would look more along the lines of him covering the halves role if either D C E or Brooks were forced to come off although both fortunately in past times have been fairly durable .
Then would be predicted on Gordie being on the bench as a back up 9 .
Interesting reference that Bulemor may be considered as a stand in centre , would have thought more Burbo off the bench but nothing wrong with a bit of lateral thinking for certain positions in a season "s leadup
And again Croker as a 13 option , tend again to think much more in the long shot option
