This seems like a culture thing with us Manly supporters and stats and figures do not lie . Sadly we are are not overall committed in numbers to our club like all the other club supporters . Which is a very sad fact indeed .

All footy clubs make their fans AWARE with marketing and also use our players to preach the message as well feathered friend .
It appears we do not have as many big hearted Manly believers and givers as the other clubs do
.
The moral of the story .....
Giving all comes from the heart . It seems we are a heartless lot in numbers
Where is our sense of pride ???

What always interests me is these teams with huge membership numbers but the clubs still can’t turn a profit. Souffs with heaps of members and so many sponsors they can’t fit them all on their jerseys, but still run at a loss. Something doesn’t add up

Same here mate . I am a proud member of both and I feel like an alien around the Dragons and Sharks fans of the South and they all try and give it to me and say .......
What are you doing supporting Manly when you are living in our part of the world ?
I look at them straight in the eye and proudly smile and fire back .......
I support the mighty Sea eagles because your part of the world does not have a descent team to support !!!
Without numbers they would be worse off in profit . Every bit helps .

Hey the wheel. For me it’s not an issue with the value of the membership it’s an issue with the ground experience. I get a 3 not cause I can’t make other games it’s just it can be a bit punishing going to Brookie. I definitely can’t make all 10 but if it was a better experience I could prob make about 6.
People will prob jump up and down and say that makes me not a true fan but for me it’s entertainment dollars. I have a limited amount of them and want value for money. Buying a warm mid strength beer and spending a fortune on food to sit on the hill isn’t as fun as it used to be. I prefer a nice ground with decent food options. I even prefer my couch with nice beer and good food.
It’s literally that simple. I’ll never miss a game but how I choose to consume those ultimately comes down to experience and comfort
Yes mate . We have 185,000 Manly likes on our fb page ( and the rest of the fans ) and we struggle to get 10,000 of those to commit and support our club and become members like other club supporters do . If the other clubs supporters can commit then so can we !
No excuses . Giving comes only from ones heart .
The moral of the story ?
There are two types of Manly people
1. The ones that are enrolling (memberships)
2. The ones that are Sausage rolling.................. (with or with out the sauce )

The most disappointing thing is that we are still below those clubs in membership numbers and our a comfort care free zone fans will get our club no where .
We are second last in membership . Very very sad indeed !

For research purposes I just had a look at the Rabbitohs website.
Among other zero-game and state-based membership options available there, you can also buy an annual membership for your dog for $62.
This post got me over the line. I am now a member for the first time ever.
Is it true they also include anyone who is a member of Souths Juniors (The Juniors, Kingsford) on their stats to bump them up? Even the ones that cost $11 per year. Is this a rumour?? Happy to be corrected as I am not sure.
It's certainly a rumour but I believe the nrl only count ticketed members. Which I think means those that get memberships without game day tickets aren't counted... like those dirty overseas people. @HappilyManly ?
I am not totally sure but I don’t think they include Souths juniors but they may include some type of membership when they were re-entering the comp ie you paid a ‘donation’ and got some type of lifetime membership. NB this is based on what I have been told not on fact. Plus they have a cheaper version of basic membership and their average revenue per membership is much lower than some other clubs

Wonder how the ticketed membership counting works with al the teams playing out of ANZ regards the ANZ stadium members. Do all teams get credited with the however many stadium members there are. There is an awful lot of ‘grey’ in the stats. I guess the nrl juggle the stats to suit their own particular/bias needs
