Let’s get it all out!!

I have stated the obvious through out the season
Nothing will change unless we make the right changes
Simple recipe but it is proven to work

I vote TRUMP - To make the Sea Eagles great again 🙂

Trump to purchase the Sea Eagles and surrounding property - goodbye Penn and Zth

Develop it and put the Fortress back into the place

Name it The Brookvale - Trump Fortress Resorts Twin Towers

Dreams do come true 🙂

We have ourselves a Trump hater :giggle: @Rosko

We'll get TWO new pie warmers and we'll also get a new soap dispenser in the MENS and WOMENS toilets and we'll even change the oil for the chips next season!!!! #makemanlygreatagain#whoneedsacentreofexcellence

Hey Wombat, how come you know the soap dispenser isn't working in the ladies loo?

Can only hope that a not only " can do better " but really " must do better ' outlook is the motto and intention all the way from the contracted players, and coaching staff , to the club officials and to the owners for next season and approaching next season.

Ohhhh they both still work but it's all part off the Councils grand plans to renovate Brookie. Start with the small stuff and slowly (over the next 100 years) fix the rest of the joint.

Check out Northern Beaches council website the is a DA in place for the work on the dispensers.

The reality is that the Penns don't want to spend the money on making changes.
Doesn'tmatta have plenty of money to splash around and they are investing in a new football 'structure' that is designed to exploit the strength of their juniors into becoming the NRL powerhouse they should be. Now, while we are all thankful Doesn'tmatta are masters of wasting money and opportunities one day they will luck onto an answer. As we all know, money eventually equals success.
That's one reason why I'm so fearful Manly's hope of resurrection is for the Penns to either sell out or enter into a joint-venture. As unpalatable as this suggestion is I believe - unless things change dramatically - that Manly's future survival in the NRL rests with a radical approach. There are too many Sydney-based teams, surely that is obvious. Currently we are the most likely to fold or be merged.

Pretty worrying that all the mail says Madge was keen but we are going for Carty because of $$$. Hard to know if that's the truth or not but seems likely based on all the recent media stories.

For mine, this Baz situation needs to come to a head very soon. He's a toxic coach who has shown a major lack of leadership over the last 3 years. The playing group lost all faith in him when he casted Hastings out into the cold despite reports DCE was the main issue. I think we need to cut the individuals out now. Kapow is bad news. Trade him straight up for Nathan Brown. We also need to remember how bad Api's injury hurt us this year. Fainu did a great job for a first year in the NRL but he's a boy playing against men at the moment. We need some SPEED and POWER out wide. Having Walker back at 3 helps next year but we are desperate for a fast finishing winger. We really should go for Tupou, he's 27 and has 3-4 good years minimum.

If Barrett is on $650k as reported, then you would think Madge would ask a little bit more but not a ridiculous amount.

How can we not think a coach isnt a worthy investment and is just somewhere to cut some costs and save a penny?

That said I'll wait until an official announcement of the new coach before jumping down the throat of the owners.

Not too sure why there is some particular concern with the short term viability of the club with the assured 13 . 4 Mil in N R L club allocated funds ,at least for some years yet . Again just really need a competitive and more consistent i st grade footy side to get some better results . some coaching stability and a better run with injuries . Plenty of promising juniors apparently coming through the system . thanks to a concerted and intentional strategy some years ago to lift the club in this area . For a range of reasons ,a very difficult season this year . quite a few things need some attention and improvement , just have to hope and expect that the intent and purpose is there to get to better times for the club .A S A P.

Thank god! I thought your eyesight was going!

It’s a good point about the guaranteed amount for the Football Department from 2019.

As far as I’m aware each club operates from then on the same budget , in essence a Cap!!

So, if that’s the case why not get the best coach you can ????

Zorba who we all loathe but knows what is happening already stated that we are not paying anymore than 500k (oh and let's not forget the car) so wait all you want but that is a fact and madge isn't coaching us for that money.

Lets hope they are still negotiating with Madge. If Cartwright isn't appointed as soon as Barrett is walked then we'll know. Could be the Cartwright mantra is simply to calm the players.

But I don’t get this , refer to my post above !!

Now, I’m guessing that Bellamy et al already on a million plus would be exempt as it’s an existing contract HOWEVER for unemployed coaches maybe the future maximum is less than that due to this Cap.

So, isn’t that just sticking your head in the sand if you think Maguire coulddo a better job!!

I don't get it either if the reports of Barrett being on 650k a season are correct I'm stunned they have decided 500k is enough. I have to ask why would Carty want the job anyway? he already has a contract for the next two years (appearing to do little) with less stress.

Yep, I’d choose to cruise on $350k than send myself to an early grave on $500k
