At this point in time, getting rid of players whose contacts are not up,is not possible, as they would still be included in our salary cap if we can't offload them to another club for around the same as their contracts with us.
The only players that we have who would be in demand from other clubs, apart from the ones we want to keep, would possibly only be Tapau, and Walker,but the problem with these two is that we're paying them so much that it would be hard to have another club take them off our hands without us contributing something.
We would struggle to offload, Parker, Tafua, Croker, Winterstein, Sirronen, Hodkinson, Gosiewski, Thompson, Brown,maybe Kelly and Suli, I suppose it all comes to our recruiting, which has been awful over the past four years, the rot probably started when we recruited Feleti Mateo and have gone downhill since.

Brown and Croker not here in 2019,I think and Suli was a one year contract. Hodko def with us in 2019.

Now, I don’t mean us ( Silvertailers) as we have well and truly been letting it out ( since about round 4) but I’m talking the club, and the owners who are the only real ones wh can instigate the “ letting it out”.

Call it a “ purge “ if you wish but let’s hang all the bad **** out , let the media feed off the scraps, come clean with the fans, then clean up the place once and for all, and move on.

Sack the coaches would be a good start, and a fresh look top to bottom is needed.

Sack the fitness staff would also help, our players this year haven’t cut the mustard!

Sack players who don’t want to be there or be a part of the rebuild, and yes that means ANY OF THEM!!

Sit down with all players who are staying and make sure they all are 150% onside, sure money is important but they have to bleed desire and success, if not **** them off!!

Any new players have to buy in ( for example Elgey said he could have got more money elsewhere but liked the option of playing with DCE and the Turbo’s, don’t know about anyone else but I like this), any new signings need to bebuying in to the rebuild.

Open up and tell us about your wrongdoings with TPA’s, or tell us if you’ve been absolved ( **** Greenslime that **** couldn’t care less about us, so who cares if we are jumping the gun).

The “ sack the Penn’s” thought train means we don’t have a club if we do so I’m suggesting we learn to live with them but for god sake enough of the ****ing leaks AND you know where that comes from and you know how to stop it!!

If you have no intention of doing anything then yes you can **** off too ( just sell the place to someone who does care). Although I think you do care but you’ve had too much on your mind with other “ issues”. If that’s the case the CEO needs MORE SAY!!

Call it a sweeping of the broom if you wish , let’s forget all the bad **** and make Manly great again!!

Because sure as **** if we get another season exactly the same as this last one I doubt enough of us will be around to bother worrying anymore.

No it’s how I’ve truly felt for some time.

But I was prepared to let the coaching staff ( who aren’t the blame for everything) give it a go.

The problems we have are multi tiered , management, coaching , player weaknesses, culture issues , fitness BUT can’t be aimed 100% at one!!

Actually, it can. Problems begin and end with the Penn family. I firmly believe they have poisoned this club and we are (only) doomed if they continue to own the club.
I truly believe this and it's why I feel so miserable about my beloved Sea Eagles.

Have never seen a more ludicrous or ridiculous setup than allowing a lame duck coach parade about bagging the club to anyone who will listen and allowing him to continue.

What a weak, indecisive flop of an organisation we have become. Everything that was good about Manly has mostly long departed; it is now a fetid, festering, putrid, fickle musheaded abomination of a club.

I sat about 5 rows back from the in goal yesterday and watched our team after they had try after try put on them. They were saying nothing to each other and looked like a pack of strangers standing at a bus stop.

I am doing a masters degree in sports administration at the moment...manly for all the wrong reasons has given me so much material..when you study and compare our club to other major sporting clubs and organisations we are so far behind and have such poor governance structures it beggars belief how we are surviving. My Lectures have said at the current rate in 3 years time unless things change they reckon we will be gone, I agree with them.

One more thing to add

I would put a broom through the membership / marketing / coms teams. There are plenty on here that know more about the footy side of things but we are so far behind from a marketing point of view it is not funny
