Lawton a gun

He's played 55 games since 2021 and several on here were saying his best spot is on edge. Took till halfway through this year for Manly coaching staff to figure that out. Now he's going. What a waste those 3 years of injury and playing in wrong position it's been.

we need to buy a second rower we have no depth with lawton leaving
Give Talau a whole pre-season at left edge, and we might find that we already have one in the squad. This will also resolve our six-into-five situation with our outside backs. If we were to also add Jack Williams and Byrce Cartwright into the thirty, suddenly our bench rotation and forward depth looks decidedly more mobile, creative and dynamic.

But with the second row stocks that the cowboys have I don't think they've signed him up for that position. They're signing him up as a fill-in hooker/utility

He has played 2 games for the Cowboys, off the bench.
If he was still at Manly he would be playing everything week. He was very good for us last year, even playing well in the 2nd row.

But we let guys like this go and sign old has beens or never beens and sign Waddell for 3 years!!
The Lawman wouldn't make much of a difference to our pack. John Wayne, perhaps, would be a different matter.
