Its often difficult to get information after games about the injury status of players. Yes, we know Taufua is out for the season and Sironen wont be back until the last round or two. But someone on this site mentioned an injury to Taupau, a suspected broken hand, and it was implied he may be out for 6 weeks. I can find nothing on the news reports, so I figured a site like this could be valuable for those in the know to report what may not yet be officially known, or at least allay fears from rumours.

Now we know Taupau played only 42 minutes against the Warriors. That in itself suggests that he suffered some problem that ended his participation for the day. But what is his status now? Does anyone know, because he is surely our most valuable forward at present, especially with the likelihood we'll be facing Penrith sans DCE and Jake?

Just take a deep breath and live on the no news is good news saying for a little while and soak up that sweet sweet win.
Realistically after a weekend game, its going to be hard to get any updates until Monday afternoon or team list tuesday, unless its an obvious one. By then anyone with more than a niggle or a burner will have gone for scans and generally know the initial results. By post game press conference time, coach doesn't exactly have anything super accurate, but the media's need to fill a 24/7 cycle has people throwing darts out there instantly in the hope one connects, twisting words or just creating conversation to get them hits, so you get one person saying something, then a puppet following, or saying something else. It's all speculation until then. Put the feet up and worry about next weeks lineup, next week!
