The Bulldogs will face the Dragons, and the Cowboys will take on the Knights in the NRL season-opener at Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium.

The NRL announced the schedule of matches, to be played at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, on Saturday, February 28 (Sunday, March 1 in Australia).

English Super League teams Hull Kingston Rovers and Leeds Rhinos will also face off.

By my reckoning Manly will return to Vegas in 2028.
I still have a hankering to go, but a couple of things will determine my commitment:
1. We will have to have a competitive team
2. The cost
A friend of mine went this year and took his two sons, as one is a keen Shark supporter. He said it was amazing, yet warned about how expensive the whole trip cost. And my mate is quite wealthy.

My guess is all the dogs, knights, and dragons' players will be in the lockup within 24 hours of arriving...

and the cowboys players will be dazzled by the big city lights and forget to turn up.

I'm reading that the NRL expects more Australians to travel to Vegas in 2026 to experience the season's opening matches. I wouldn't be so confident, mainly because of the cost. I did an analysis of the cost for a one-week stay and it is incredibly high. I've also had three separate friends/family members holiday in the US recently and declare they wouldn't do it again. The reason is the exchange rate (currently around US64 cents = A$1) and the tipping culture. All said that not only were general prices higher than in Australia but the tipping culture was "out of control". In the US tipping is not an option, like here, and the expectation is a mimimum of 18%.
No matter how keen a RL fan, once you tote up the bill for those few days the vast majority will simply not be able to afford it.

Not to mention that many Strayans, even some rugba league supporters, aren’t so keen on travelling to Trumperica/South Canada these days.

The excitement and enthusiasm for this circus will wear off. Thinking by 2027/2028 it will be canned. The Seppo's don't want to take NRL seriously after all the local sport they are fed.
