Not gonna lie that sucks and there was some really poor game management from DCE but that one hurt a little less than some of the others. Really impressed with Keppie, we've finally got a hard **** to replace Taupau the marshmallow. Silver linings and all that.

Quick give Des an extension clubs are lining up for a coach like him. We have 2 players earning 1 million a year 1 can't get on the field and 1 should be forced to take a cut.

Suli is a waste of space with his absolute laziness in everything he does .
I think he was dreaming about Big Mac meal deals.

Well, that was disappointing. All that effort to get back into the game and go ahead, defending set after set, then Cherry goes and produces the worst last-tackle kick he could dream up, gifting the Knights a seven-tackle set.

And yeah, I know it's not all the refs, but that penalty count was ****ing ridiculous and there's no way you can convince me it didn't have an outcome on the game. Again.

But really good signs from Paseka and Keppie.

I think the knocks on and dumb penalties, as well as the terrible outside defence was to blame than one kick. Some of those simple knock one and giving away dumb 4th tackle penalties lead to Newcastle points. Even that last try, Funa just had to tackle Pearce, but missed him twice while Suli just watched.

Well that was a season that promised so much and delivered so little. A little bit like the whole of 2020. What a **** ****en year........

The team that has played this year is a bottom 4 team. With our cap so tied up in a few players not sure where we go from here?

Putting things in perspective ...
With the troops that we had out we were expected to get flogged
We got flogged in the penalty count
We got flogged by lady luck
We even flogged our selves with some silly errors at times
But to stay competitive through out the game and unlucky to lose by 2 points shows this was another resilient effort that was not rewarded

Pretty much what I expected. Had a feeling they would come out trying their hardest and didn't expect them to lose by much. They almost won it which deserves a pat on the back. Paseka, Jake and DCE tried their hardest. Even Croker in the second half showed a little more spunk. This isn't a team that's going to succeed if they get to the finals but at least today they competed.

However that is now 2 wins from the last 8 starts without Turbo and Walker. To me, if Hasler wants to get this team at least into the finals, he's really going to have to rethink his selection options. Relying on Turbo (because I don't think Walker will be back this year) to save the day is in my opinion myopic thinking. Some of these guys try real hard, but they aren't good enough to get Manly out of the middle of the pack
