Kite will leave us when contract expires

Hi all,

I have good mail that Brent Kite will be leaving us when his contract expires. He wants to go back to Canberra where his family are based. He doesn't care about the dollars, it's purely for family reasons. Its a shame if this happnes as he has really played well in the second half of the season and current test series.

Thought there would be more to it than that as all clubs would have the same thing occur. Especially Canberra, what else can you do there!!!!

I was living with Matt Gafa & his cousin when I was down in Canberra for uni and we used to have a number of Raiders living out of our lounge room attached to a playstation...McLinden was a freak on it!

That or smoke dope. My brother went to Uni in Canberra and when he was stressed one time , he knocked on the doors to try and find a cigarette. He couldnt find one but was offered a joint in nearly every room he went to.

Ha yep earl I can see that being the case and Jatz- yep- that's what it felt like- very boring place- just like a big country town but with no farken pubs- just one proper pub there when I was living there (the Kingo) the rest were clubs, taverns or inns!

Two years time might be good to say farewell to Kite. Imo his play is somewhat erratic. He can go good only for some of the time. He was good at the end of the season but only fair at the start and in the middle months. He seemed to lose his backing up routine at the line. As well he seems to me a bit too stupid to lead a pack. He's playing well for Australia so another two years might just see him out to pastures at Canberra. Is this a bit harsh?
