I’m glad they got RCG for his shoulder charge on Aloiai.

The clowns on channel 9 were trying to excuse it by saying RCG had got himself into an awkward position & there was nothing he could do about it, but the onus is on the defender NOT to shoulder charge so forget all that noise.

I wonder if the Parra players are going to take the suspension option rather than paying the fines.
Worked well for Matherson 🤣

Thats what they were saying last week about Drinkwater, also, the attacker, Oates should take some responsibility as he changed direction, can't believe the crap they come out with.

Again I ask: who actually pays these fines? And are they tax deductible?
Everyone assumes it is the players (and the Ryan Matterson fine fiasco may confirm it) but I'm sceptical. (I'm sceptical about most things these days!). I reckon the employer would pay for most of them, like they do in real life.
I wouldn't want to have my pay docked for unintentional mistakes. What other profession does that?
Mistakes happen even when you are sitting in an air-conditioned office with all the creature comforts and AI assistance. Footballers are playing in a 'furnace' where pressure mounts and fatigue sets in. Mistakes are part of the profession.
