did anyone else see that bit in the telecrap this morning,and no I didnt buy it,havent for a longtime and staying that way,lol,anyway,when did Jeremy Smith play for us,to my recollection, he never did,the article says Smith,unwanted after one year at manly,went to newcastle,and since then,the hitman hasnt looked back and wants to finish his career at the knights

Correct, but it WAS Manly's NRL licence which Beaver played his whole NRL career for.

Yes he played for manly reserve grade in the last year of northern eagles, and worked at the leagues club. He was a great centre at that point, but was obviously going to be a big boy when he grew up. There is a previous thread on this topic, and Jeremy confirms that he was at manly in a tweet.
