The only part worth reading has been pasted below...love these articles and the approach they take to reporting on an incident, before finishing with a little comic relief.

Hopoate was playing with the Tigers in 2001 when he was banned for 12 weeks for inserting his finger into North Queensland players’ anuses.

This 'journo' needs to do some fact checking, it was definitely 2 fingers.

The good ol' John Stopafarti

What sad case he become.

From the Keith Galloway hit the bloke has become a complete embarrassment.

Shame he was a damn fine player.
He is not a complete embarrassment
He is a good father and family men
He is also a good friend to many
No one gets on with every one and every one has their moments
I was there at the Keith Galloway game . Hoppa was fired up and wanted to make an impact but in the heat of the moment he missed judged his shoulder charge
And Yes he was a damn fine Manly premiership Winning player

I guess it depends on your definition of a good father and family man.

Numerous times over the years, I would say he has been a poor role model for his children, this incident included.

Interesting lesson in biology. The elbow is in fact part of the shoulder and they function dependent to one another. The same could be said for the legs, that involuntarily jump when the shoulder is engaged.

Running in at full pace and In the heat of the moment of passion and the will to make a statement to the opposition it is easy to miss your mark
Maybe he jumped more higher than he anticipated as he raised his shoulder
Many Intense tackles go wrong

He may have let him self down with some of his misjudgements
But as a Loyal and Loving Family man all his family love him

So in raising your shoulder, which seems difficult in proportion to your neck that is fixed to your spine, you’re actually raising your elbow that also inadvertently ends up as the first point of contact?

I was at the game also - it happened in front of me

I think what actually occurred is that when realising the limit of motion in relation to your neck, he turned sideways, cocked his elbow and "inadvertently" put Galloway to sleep

Seems totally plausible. The thought that a guy who holds the record for most weeks suspended in the history of game, of which included sticking his finger in players bums, would ever suffer a brain snap that involves taking another player’s head off with an elbow.

I just love how Hoppa single handedly ruined or at least stained the West Tigers function.. lmao.. and stuck it up the NSWRL at the same time...good one Hoppa love your work
