If you’ve heard any of my music, you’ll know I’m super chill, but also don’t suffer fools lightly 😂

You mean like Humphries?

Spoony refused to pick him, even going to the extreme of picking Talau against Souths.
He has proven at Souths, Spoony was completely wrong about him.
Are you talking about that one time Humphries missed out? That kind of supports that he hadn't been ready or going good enough doesn't it?

Yeah the coach picked an experienced NRL player in Brooks that one time, over an untested rookie in JH...considering that job is to steer the team at halfback... Pretty standard selection I'm thinking.

And then, Tommy Talau form in the outside backs last year was red hot at times. So yeah an experienced NRL player going well. Just so happens to have played most of his junior footy at 5/8. Who knew? So a choice between two blokes who both have looked ok in the halves in lower grades. One had years of experience of NRL experience playing out wider on the field since, and has been carving up and NRL in recent weeks. The rookie just has recentcey in the halves on his side.

Were we all more shocked Tommy 2 lau is actually an experienced ball player?

Id suggest that the amount of inexperience in the Manly squad that game more generally, probably was the greatest factor on why Tommy 2 got the nod.

Individually was JH head still spinning that week, a young bloke having just finished weighing up offers and deciding an easier path to first grade may waist elsewhere.

Seibs then goes on an selected JH on a couple of occasions after that handing him the keys to run the side when DCE was out.
So can it really be said Seibs refused to pick him?
Are you forgetting about some bloke called DCE.

Your not seriously suggesting JH form last year was better than the bloke both origin and Australian selectors still found to be one of the top 2 half's in the country.

Should JH have been blooded off the bench at hooker? Seibs clearly wanted to go down that path, He's the man that changed JH position from half to hooker in the Juniors, to do just that.

So why has Jackie had the bench experience, and not JH? FORM, was JH clearly not out playing Jackie?.

If your clearly not the games best player, than last year he hadn't been playing well enough to be dethroning DCE. If your FORM doesn't clearly have you in front of Jackie for a run at 9, or Infront of Brooks or Talau in the halves, Your clearly not the games best player.

Call it how it was. Seibs played him at 7 when he was the best option at 7, in games where there was more experience around him. So he wasn't being set up to fail.

So just like how Seibs went with Lehi, showed he's not afraid to blood a young kid, even in controlling positions in the spine. But you don't just get gifted your spot, you earn it, you'll be the best option that week, and you'll actually be ready, ready to do yourself proud.

I understand being disappointed the kid chose to go to Souths.

But I find it difficult to criticise Seibs performance in developing and blooding these kids. If they all start like Lehi and JH in first grade at such young ages. Our coach is ****ting all over plenty of other coaches in the NRL.
