Apparently it was common knowledge and some very high people turned a blind eye because he was an elite player. The guy admitted using drugs throughout his career how did he not get caught. What about lesser players who lost their careers with drugs only to see Johns get away with it. IMO He's a scumbag.

Mcdougall was average at best and so was Matt Johns. Joey Johns was a great halfback simple.

Does M Johns get rated the same as Fittler Lamb Lyons and Daley? Of course not. Does Mcdougall get rated as good as Meninga Lyon Inglis Renouf Cooper? No chance. Does Robbie Odavis get Minichiello Slater? No he doesnt. But Andrew Johns is rated as the greatest halfback ever.

Yeah it's crazy. The amount of times he probably destroyed NZ in tests and you can still face it.

People can bag him all they want but if i had to choose a team to play for my life he'd be first pick.

I wonder if people's willingness to turn a blind eye to off field illegal activities extends to driving while drunk, touching up your missus when you have a skinful, and sexually assaulting women with your teammates. If you are the world's greatest player are you allowed to do those things as well in your spare time, as long as it doesn't affect your performance on the field of course ??
