I'm not so sure.
Chooks had him under contract but thought he wasn't the right person to set the tone for their young players coming through. Despite his on-field performance being good, in fact very good.
You reckon the Chooks lost the plot? I'd say it's a red flag at very least.
Of course desperate clubs will take a risk on a player... but possibly telling that the club to sign him was the 3 time wooden spooners (about as desperate as you can get)
From all reports he does not drink and is a lovely guy… not similar in nature to his brothers…

Personally I reckon the chooks prioritised other cheaper forwards which they (wrongfully) thought/think have more potential…

May was worth the risk on game alone but I have not heard a single person say he comes with baggage - that narrative is purely related to people assuming “chooks are smarter than that” and “where there’s smoke, there’s fire”…

Fletch is spewing about the chooks letting him go - and with good reason…

the cows have finished 3rd second last and 5th in the last few years

Payten has dropped big name players for poor form, not for giggles
Jason T contract was off the planet stupid. No body can play that game for 12 plus years. It was already doing it when he signed

And he losses the dressing room. TBH, it all sounds a little precious by the players.

And they were calling for his head after 1 game, maybe even before after 5th last season.

Club culture is fickle as feck

The chooks are flush with quality up front, it’s easy to see why they let May go.

If the rumours are true Connor Watson would disagree.

…again, rumour/innuendo/smear etc

Not a single person in the know has actually stated that Terrell did something wrong… in fact, last I heard Terrell was trying to track down who was spreading that particular rumour as he wanted to sue…

What someone actually HAS said about May was Angus Crichton (his captain) coming out and backing him:
"He is literally straight as an arrow. He doesn't drink, he is a really good guy and he hasn't done anything off the field to warrant this.
"So for people that are speculating and talking out of tongue, just stop it, and wait until the full story comes to light. He is a good person."
