Jason Saab

Maybe if Saab was on a big money contract , a bit of justification to have him in the Whipping boy category but sure that is not the case , however a 3 year deal would seemed more appropriate .
Bit harsh to attach main blame for that bizarre opening try to Saab , footy balls simply can bounce in the most unpredictable ways and difficult for D C E too but he had the initial and main responsibility to tidy things up there
Could have been a reasonable case to look at a Talau - Koula centre combo next season with Rueben and Lehi on the wings if Saab was faltering in a major way but not happening yet and Talau on the move in an unfortunate development now apparently
Didn 't get many [ or hardly any really ] opportunities last night to show his wares and has been the case for a while so ideally that can change next season not only for his benefit but for the team in general
Saab is a lazy **** and now it seems like he don’t give a ****….much rather see what willet has to offer next year if Saab doesn’t pull his finger out

The problem is, even with perfectly placed bombs, Saab still can't capitalise most of the time. He has terrible hands, poor coordination and positioning, and rarely has the ability to out-muscle his opposite in the air. Add to this that he is useless at getting our sets started in good field position, and is a general liability in defence and in broken play attack, as well as lacking any footwork or game awareness.

I would say he, Brown, and the perennially unavailable Croker, would be our 3 poorest value top 30 contracts going into next year. Even Lodge and Waddell have something to offer still
Well I wouldn't be sad to see all 3 go. Give Willett , Muagututia and Laifai a shot in there.

If Fogarty and his kicking game is as good as it's supposed to be, there is no reason why Saab can't be a little like Coates next year and score a lot of tries by taking the ball in the in goal.
He is tall enough and it needs to be practiced a lot over the off season.

Saab can’t catch a cold so even the good kicks will be dropped more often than not. Also, Coates is agile, aggressive and energetic. Saab can only run in a straight line. I get the impression you have a bit of a soft spot for Saab but it’s getting to the point where his form is making it hard for his fans to defend him.

Yea, I don't mind Saab. He was good for us last year and had improved.

This year a couple of injuries have seemed to have affected his confidence and speed.

If he doesn't impress next year, agree he needs to go.

Hopefully he will do a lot of work in the off season and impress, as he has the height and speed to be a good version of Tupou.

But right now he's a bad version of Tupou
