Again, it seems that Buhrer is taking his game to another level. Gifty fans don't come any bigger than me, but I have to say the form of Ferris is extremely pleasing moving forward without the great Glenn Stewart.

That was lovely ball playing (not to mention Gifty-esque) to put Snake through for the first of Hiku's two tries. He also ran a great line to find the in-goal before being ruled held up (I thought it touched a blade of grass). Finally, the footwork to wedge in behind the line and find DCE back on the inside for Snake's token Brookvale try was clever.

He is bringing a multi-faceted game to the table each week and is playing football of a very high standard. It certainly eases the pain of losing Glenn when you have a young back rower of this quality stepping up his game. Well done!

It did touch a blade of grass. You could see the blade of grass quiver as Jamie rolled the ball towards it. They should implant some sort of sensors in the blades of grass to pick up that type of contact, Buhrer ripped off.

Nein gave it to Foz.

Ferris just needed those extra minutes to get into the groove, and now looks just as at home as anyone!

I wish he'd not tempt fate quite so often...the refs love to pick the easy, piggy-back penalty (and Ferris does like to tie the ball up as long as he can sometimes).

If I remember correctly Jamie and his father are diehard manly fans, from parra way. What a dream come true for the kid.
Hate to say I told you so but there were some silvertail posters who were keen to offload him for ordinary forwards on the market not too long ago.
Too small they said! He probably breaks the line more than any other forward!

True, but to be fair quite a few have come around and praise his work now.

I like his work rate and regular knack of stepping through the line (as you pointed out Pepi).

With Horo likely to get suspended, Choc can slot back in seamlessly for the Drags game; leaving Ferris and Lui as is.

Jamie is developing well as ball player.

Some people around here seem to have forgotten that unlike Snake it took Gifty a long time to keep a permanent place in the team and he wasn't much of a ball player at the beginning.

Cuthbo had far more ball skills than Gifty or Jamie at the same stage of their careers and look how that turned out.
