Seems like a good bloke (albeit a Norths supporter😀), went well on Fox and should add a bit of professionalism to the Nine broadcasts. Thoughts anyone?

James Bracey joins Nine’s NRL team

James Bracey has an impeccable sports pedigree but it’s his love of the North Sydney Bears that he believes will stand him in good stead to handle the highly coveted position of host of Channel Nine’s NRL broadcasts.

“It probably makes me a better host because I’m not cheering. I’m probably just observing and then commenting so I’m as impartial as you possibly could be,’’ Bracey said.

Pretty sure Max was a Souths fan. And Brace is a top bloke & top professional.

I've had the pleasure of working with him & he's one of the best.

Loves the Manly/Norths banter & takes it in good humout.

He'll be more even minded towards Manly than most of the overs on the coverage.

Its not going to be enough to get me watching Nine NRL commentary again. He is surrounded by such dribblers as Sterling, Fittler, Johns, Gould, Ray Warren etc. Those guys love the sound of their own voice and think commentary is trying to be funny on national tv. These idiots need to watch european rugby, english premier league soccer or even A-League soccer to understand how to call games professionally.

I put up this thread to give some hope to the all the posters stuck with free to air who have been quite vitriolic in there condemnation of the current Nine commentary team and hadn't seen the story.
