Jamal Fogarty

Sadly the longer the negotiations go on the less chance we are of getting him..
We have people on here doubting this signing.. I guarantee Ricky has got Jamal and his family over for dinner tonight and will be making sure the other senior players do the same to ensure he stays at the raiders.
They value him and he will stay

Then we will have posters on here complaining we havnt got a half back.. the most crucial position on the field

Didn't the Raiders pass on their option to keep him?!
Like others suggest it's probably Ricky pushing the price/years up to get his boy some extra coin

If ricky loves and values him so much why doesn't he pay 700k?

I would be on the front foot now if I'm Seibs and management having a talk to walsh and large and letting them no they are still in the picture etc. This needs to be handled with honesty and integrity but we still could loose one of them now potentially!

Seriously. 700k and 3 year deal.

Goodbye our next halfback saviour Joey Walsh. We won't be able to afford to keep him, just like Humphries 😤
Cool tell me more about our current cap structure that makes you feel that way.

If this is correct Manly Sea Eagles then by the time Walsh is off contract in 2027 he is one of only 10 players under contract at that time...which means there is a hell of a lot of wiggle room

But I guess it is better to get upset over maybe losing a kid who has played three lower grade games this year when the data does not even really back it up

If the extra year is what it takes to get deal done then I'm good with that. $700K is maybe a touch overs but it's not a buyers market when it comes to halves. I think he should be a solid enough buy. What are we paying Brooks in comparison ??

I don't think the 3 year deal scares off Joey Walsh. 8 year deals are what scares off young players.

Um why? It is one more year than what we offered DCE in the end and that is even assuming both players end up in the halves...which we do not know will happen

Apparently we are paying brooks 700k as well

So we have decent 6 & 7 for the same price (almost) that newcastle paid for Brown?

Not to mention we don't even know if they'll end up being very good. We've had some media puff pieces and already we're assuming he is the second coming of Jesus.
