Jake Trbojevic offers nothing in attack

I've said and / or agreed with the many who said his role needed to change, because his leg-speed has gone. Never thought he should be dropped, or undervalued him like many on here, just moved to prop to unlock his running game.

It bloody returned tonight, and at lock. I was proven wrong, and I was loving every second of it. He looked like a man on a mission to prove everyone wrong. His leg-speed was unlike what I've seen for ages.

Even before we were absolutely dominating, he was running with more purpose and power than I've seen in years. He looks fit. Proper fit.

Great to see him back to his best.

Jake has been playing a link role for years. It diminished a bit last year and less last night. He wasnt being a forward that linked up after damages he was first receiver to allow our halves to play wider and sideways and with less time
Last night he ran straight
Gave us another forward in attack which we have lacked
Always has been crap and was costing jake his reputation
FMD i have banged on about roles forever and last night jake played his role,

Our style has been costing us. Its great to see just a few old chestnuts that never worked scrapped

Jake looks lean, and fit.

In fact the whole team looked very very lean compared to last year.
I think lean might be pushing it with Toff and Bully. They both looked bigger to me.

Thought they both played well. And both started their try tally for the year.

Maybe Jake was showing the benefits of having six months to let his body rest and recover…

28 weeks is a long time to punish your body and I have no doubt that Jake picked up and carried injuries throughout the season (despite the fact he STILL showed up every week and did the hard stuff that does not make the highlight reels)…

Cowboys were awful tonight
Todd Payten Press Conference
“I asked them to have a think about their prep, physically and mentally.
“Then I asked the question which I didn’t need an answer for straight away, but we’ll talk about that tomorrow. And then I told him to be ready to work.
End quote

One would think that a coach prepares his players physically and mentally before the game and not after the game
Go figure

Every picture tells a story .
The Blank look on Paytens face says it all
Payten has his Cowboys firing Blanks
