Didn't Watson want a return to the Roosters tho.
By memory, I think they originally wanted a spine of:
1. Garrick
6. Ponga
7. Brooks
9. Hastings
Which is so weird in hindsight.
They wanted that for 2023, and we were in crisis and it looked likely Garrick would leave. Obviously they had to change that when it became apparent that they weren't getting Brooks or Garrick.
