This guy is a gun. As big As a prop, but very quick and agile. Playing on the edge and causing plenty of breaks and metres. Very aggressive too.

Would look good in the back row at Manly to replace Thommo

As long as he keeps on eye on Sam McIntrye. (watch the pill son, not where you think it’s going.)

Did you watch the first have. Couple of clean line breaks. Just burst straight thru. Showed go pace. Guy is built like the modern day back rower. Big and strong, but agile.

Over watching Jetski and Waddell getting smashed.
No i didn't but im liking wat im seeing from him in the 2nd. He does bend the line back and he is a unti! Can we give panthers a broken jetski and a lame duck for him?

Edit. Does he play the 80? At prop? Sign him up

No doubt Hethrington is a good footballer.

What about our lads that have not had the opportunity to show their skills, Guacamole, Titmus and Saddler.

Need to let the two local boys in Titmus and Guacamole get a decent run, they have been in the Sea Eagles for a long time. Then there is Saddler who also needs to be in front of any other signings.

He was a little quiet in the second half, first half pretty destructive. Played 80 mins though

Manly has entered a congested race for Penrith firebrand Jack Hetherington as it looks to fill the void created by the departure of Addin Fonua-Blake.
Hetherington, who played for the Panthers last weekend but has had been on loan at the Warriors for much of the season, is in high demand after being given permission to source interest across the NRL.

It is understood the Warriors and potentially Canterbury are also in the mix for the aggressive prop, who has one year left on his deal at Penrith.

The Panthers are loath to lose him, but don’t want to stand in his way if he can find a club where he has the ability to play regular NRL football.

Manly offer just that opportunity now that Fonua-Blake has gone. While he spent time at the Warriors this season, it is understood they are resigned to missing out on Hetherington because he has a desire to remain in Sydney.

That leaves the Sea Eagles and the Bulldogs to fight for his services — Canterbury may hold a slight edge because Penrith assistant Trent Barrett will join the club next season.

Barrett has worked alongside Hetherington at the Panthers this year. Manly, however, hopes it can persuade him to Narrabeen, where a potential partnership with Marty Taupau would be made all the more interesting given their recent history.

Hetherington was charged with a grade three careless high tackle last month for a shot that knocked out Taupau and left the Sea Eagles prop with short-term memory loss.

While Fonua-Blake is one of the game’s best front rowers, he was also chewing up a significant share of the Sea Eagles’ salary cap and his departure has given the club the freedom to make some signings capable of giving them a more rounded roster.
