These 2 posts make a lot of sense together. It seems Jack has a serious problem with alcohol. Maybe he was drunk on Thursday night?
We've had about 10 players on the injured list pretty much all year - does anyone expect that to suddenly change?
We are intending to play finals and to give this comp a fair shake to the very end, and rightly so as we have the talent to achieve a famous victory.
But by the time we start an intense finals campaign we're going to need every available squad member as ready to go as possible. The attrition rate is likely to be high!
The State Cup is off and personally I doubt it will be back this year. So giving players some game time becomes a sound long-term strategy.
Would I be preferring Jetski at this stage to Haumole, Schu or Lawton? No! But he did well in the 2019 finals and at some stage we are going to need him, and the same goes for other unfashionables such as Siro Cust, Funa and even Boyle if he can get fit. As for Burbo, its not as though he has earned a spot in the 17 yet, he himself was only given a run out of desperation. Yes he's gone fine but still only 19. I'm glad he's had a run in 1sts but he's still in the smash glass in case of emergency category for me.

Burbo certainly has some promise but if Jet ski and Siro aren "t re signed , probably still need another competitive back rower on the books unless Suli is transitioned into a back rower - back up centre option . Jet Ski , unlike Siro would presumably be on a fairly base salary , always had the natural ability but injury prone and application still seems to be an issue . being out for a long time probably did not help his situation against the Raiders Probably going to have to make a call with re signing Siro soon , probably can still contribute to the side this season if he can get back to some reasonable fitness level and used properly .

The stuff re: Walker remains anecdotal at this stage. The experiment at halfback might have been to determine the margins of what the club considers he is still worth.

I made a poor comment yesterday, however I was hopping for big things from Jack, especially after his game in our loss to south’s in the 2019 semi, he played with aggression and high energy that day, which sadly he has not produced since, I think both he and Suli played there best game for the club that day and neither have gone on to make a fist of it.
Maybe Des recalls that match and lives in hope they will reproduce that type of form, it’s over for mine, Jack is not going to improve our side, if anything the opposite is more likely to be true. We have enjoyed recent success and the team harmony has been great, why Des run the way he did against the Raiders with team selections, positional changes and the use of our bench, I don’t get it.
Our defensive effort was good but overall we failed pretty badly in a game we should of won, let’s hope we learn from it. Burbo while not expecting to play much FG this year would of been a better option, the boys are enjoying him being in the side, Tom trying to gift him his first try and the reaction of the rest of the lads was great, I hate seeing a winning side get messed with, bloody origin, lets just beat the goons and hopefully the teams dynamic returns the week after when the winning side is back together. Hopefully with Sips and Shoe.

Trying to recall who got the goat photos first. Maybe Luke Williamson. Mark Bryant? Chris Bailey?? I think the legend goes back to around that time. Maybe earlier! Would be good to piece together a history of how they've been passed down. 🙂

The bloke next door has goats. But there is only a young white goat that has worked out how to get out of his front paddock. She’s a nice little thing, comes over for a goat-chat and a feed of grain. I nick named her ‘Willo‘ (with all the transgender stuff, I didn’t think she’d mind crossing over).
The daughter gets it. But the wife (not a sports fan at all), thinks we’re off our heads. lol. When she/he comes over next I’ll get a photo of ’lil Willo.
