It is Schuster time

Sirro was trying to hard to score against his old team it seems. AFB, kapow and Jake are fine, but Manly need something in the 2nd row, not just 2 honest toilers who offer no x factor.

Him and Harper the only positives from last night. This kid oozes confidence and skills similar to Fittler, Inglis and Latrell debuts. He's going to be a superstar and he'll look great in the Rorters colours in 2 yrs time because there is no way we'll afford him while we keep pouring money into the DCE toilet.
He will be a gun and I think he will be great with DCE. They will complement each other. He is a very confident kid. I was very impressed!
Imagine with Tom back, and walker outside Shuster, then hopefully Faniu as well. Geez, that is some dangerous ball playing ability!

Which means if Schuster becomes a superstar he'll end up at Rorters because of captain me and the lame duck fullback. They'll throw $1mil+ at him Nov 1st next year by cutting a Canterbury cup player and we'll have to release him.
We should be looking to sign this kid up longer, even this earlier. He was better than I thought, and will only get better. Stuff throwing money at AJ, use it on this kid. We have plenty of backs coming thru. Just need a better short term 9 until Faniu hopefully returns

Highly-rated Manly youngster Josh Schuster just delivered the best debut Benji Marshall has ever seen.

The young five-eighth, 19, was playing his first NRL game against Wests Tigers legend Marshall, playing his 321st match.

Schuster played 64 minutes before succumbing to cramp, with the highlight a slick no-look pass to captain Daly Cherry-Evans, who then put winger Jorge Taufua over for a try in the corner. No-look balls have featured prominently on Schuster's sensational junior highlight reels.

Marshall, one of the most exciting players in NRL history, said that Schuster's confidence in bossing around his team was unusual and highly impressive.

"I've got to say - the kid on the other team, it was the best debut I've seen from a young kid in my time, ever," Marshall told Fox League.

"Absolutely [he's got a big future]. Remember his name because I tell you what, he was commanding the ball in the game, where kids don't usually do that. I was really impressed with him."

Schuster was given a huge rap by NSW State of Origin coach Brad Fittler ahead of his debut.

"As far as talent goes, he is right at the top of the list of all the young kids around," Fittler told Wide World of Sports' The Mole.
