Is Barrett our greatest ever coach in the NRL era?

To be to them, the rest of the thread is other posters telling what a knob he is.

Just read that crotric is on 600k per season. Wow. You would have to believe the comps best wingman in JAC wouldn't take less than a rookie player yet to play rep footy.
If that is the case 1.2 million on your starting wingers is crazy. Crazy I say.....

Read Ado Carr on $500k ... Cotric is on centre money ... good centre money ... but I suppose he was the first signing so a bit of overs ... interesting to see if he makes the grade at centre ..

Good luck to the dogs I say. I highly doubt the fox will be anywhere near as good once he leaves the drizzle. He's got quality players there that the dogs don't. Plus Bellamy. What's trent gonna do to scare the fox? Ban him from going to the pub with trent and co.

‘You’ll get me shot’: Barrett coy over fresh Penrith raid as he makes Cleary-Flanagan comparison

New Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett has drawn comparisons between his Canterbury outfit and the Penrith side that reached 2020’s NRL grand final, while refusing to rule out fresh bids for some of the Panthers’ off-contract stars.
Barrett returned to head coaching straight after being part of the Panthers coaching staff that saw them clinch the minor premiership before losing the grand final to Melbourne.

Seen by many as the catalyst for Penrith’s turnaround in 2020, the ex-Manly coach is charged with the same task at Canterbury.

Nick Cotric (Raiders) and Kyle Flanagan (Roosters) and Josh Addo-Carr will join the dogs after the 2021 season.

Most notably, however, has been Trent's penchant for raiding the Panthers for players.

Jack Hetherington joins for 2021, while Matt Burton follows the year after.
Now attention turns to off-contract Penrith centre Stephen Crichton who headlines a long list of Panthers stars without a club for 2022.

“You’ll get me shot,” Barrett laughed when asked about signing more Panthers players. “There’s a few out there I wouldn’t mind.

“I don’t think I’ll be welcome back there for a while.

What a two faced rat... so much for the "I won't sign players from the Penrith squad" agreement he had with Ivan. And how about the assistant getting all the wraps for Panthers making the GF? He's a good fit for the Doggies all right.
