I think I just watched a good loss.
I am really proud of how the boys responded to the early first half blitz.
Full strength we win.
Last time I remember a good loss was when Melbourne beat us in 2008 at Brookvale. We all know how that season panned out. I'm not saying we will win this year, but I think we should appreciate how well we responded in this game.

The first 15 minutes wasn’t good and took a bit to get into the grind, the Rorters slowed the ruck down all night and Klown let them get away with it which hurt the attacking shape.

Impressed with the resilience and Gordy played very well, this game could make him into a better player.

Guaca back will help along with Koula next game, Jake and DCE will get a much needed break.

Individually probably only one bad performance from just Burbo. Everyone else poured their heart into that game, and it showed. Burbo did too but just made some awful reads at times. 4 points off, with backrowers on the wing at times. I honestly think given how the Sharks played we'll get that 4th now.

Let’s just say that someone with a name like Klein probably enjoys a philosophical/emotional simpatico with many residents of the eastern suburbs.

Wonder what his thoughts are on Gaza and Mr Netanyahu….

This upcoming Bye is going to be a good thing, that's for sure. Neither HIA guy will miss a game and there's a couple carrying niggles that will benefit.

I expected a loss here. But I do agree that losing in a game where you show guts and commitment can have a positive influence on the playing group.

If they'd run in the 80 points that they threatened to early on. That would have been a different story.

I was surprised to see Simpkin relegated to 29 minutes (?)… but Gordie did step up tonight. I watched him wrestle some big beast to the ground in the second half by himself and I was nodding my head in approval.

Brave effort tonight but also a little predictable. Our starts in big games against big teams always seems slow. We are invariably blown off the park. Our big names aside from DCE rarely play their best in a manly jumper when the heats on. I should stress big games AWAY from brookie. The good sides just shut us down. Our place in the top 8 should be a given but we have burnt at least 4 points with putrid losses. It could easily be another wasted year especially as this side can play. It’s our fault, we no certainty to be anywhere near the 8. We are only another lazy game from 10th. Do we seriously think this side has consistency in its dna. Hope I’m wrong but I’ve seen this story before

Best game I have seen from him, had the effort plays diving on loose ball, the strip, his defensive efforts and his running and passing game were on.

How do we get Turbo at his best against the top tier teams? I haven’t seen him perform against a top team on their game, yet (YET)… but something needs to develop/change.
With Garrick, Haumole and Saab his efforts pay off. Wasn't happening with Faulalo or whoever was running right centre for those lines. Talau injured too.
