IPAD to TV

My Mrs has just setup her IPAD to watch FOX. Has anyone on here setup there IPAD to watch on their TV? What is better, the RCA Video adapter or the HDMI adapter?

I watch my ipad on my tv but I use Apple TV. Works very well, sorry I haven't tried an adaptor.

HDMI will always be better (full HD) However Apple TV is the other option

Personally I am all for cheap chinese ebay gadgets in this regards or wiring my own with parts from JayCar

After a bit of research I've found that the adapters only work from IPAD2 and up sadly. Might have to look at the Apple TV option, but that's over $100
